Wife, dog mom, cancer fighter and abuse survivor - I've seen a lot in my short years and now I'm on a journey to help everyday women feel like beautiful works of art and masterpieces in their bodies and within their life because guess what?? That's what you are!!
Anna Scott is one of our girls from St. Al that comes to our Formal Shoots with Lauren B Designs and is always a joy to be around! Having been at a couple of our formal shoots, she we familiar with basic posing and such. But she was super ready for some of the more advanced poses and man, did she totally ROCK IT! (Check out the behind the scenes at the bottom of this post!) The day was an awesome one for some portrait photography in MS, so we couldn’t wait to get started and now, I can’t wait to have her apply to be a part of the 2021 Senior Rep Team!
We started at the Firehouse Art Gallery (one of our favorite locations where we did Maggie’s and Michell’s Photos from WCHS) and she got right into it, laughing and joking with us as we worked with her through the basics to get her warmed up. Her first outfit was this light blue, breezy dress that was absolutely killer outside the red bricks! Her mom was there during the shoot, and she was awesome! Every time we needed her to laugh, her mom was there help!
It wasn’t long before we fell into a groove and we were having a blast. We moved to our second spot – right outside Anchuca (another hot-spot for all things AMP!) and got started snapping away. By this point, she was fired up and we were zipping through photo after photo in this portrait photography session. Here she changed into a cute fuzzy sweater that totally meshed with the jewelry she was wearing! SO many shiny things!
Full disclosure. I was recovering from a nasty sinus infection during this shoot and had like NO voice! Anna Scott and her mom were so sweet the whole time and understood that I hadn’t talked in basically a week. And here I was attempting to instruct an entire session. And of course, got super tongue tied at this point and blurted out “One big here time at me” as a posing direction. We all had a laugh, and it made for some epic candid shots that couldn’t have been planned more perfectly if we had tried!
Lastly, we moved down to the Southern Cultural Heritage Center (for those of you following along, you know we love this place. City Light Church is our home church!) to get some shots in the third outfit – sweater/jacket/scarf and a BEANIE!!!!!! By this point we were taking pictures, but mostly just having fun! With all the pure joy going around, we just couldn’t contain ourselves. By this point, we all felt like we were just four friends goofing off with a camera! Did I mention she had a beanie!!!
This MS Portrait Photography session is one that I don’t think any of us will forget about any time soon. Anna Scott, keep on rocking! God bless you guys! We can’t wait to work with y’all again!

I really love your blog.. Very nice colors & theme. Did you build this web site yourself?
Please reply back as I’m looking to create my very own site and would like to learn where you got this
from or exactly what the theme is called. Appreciate it!
Hello! I had someone design my website through ShowIt and the blog is through WordPress! Both are amazing providers and easy to work with, I suggest reaching out to them to see what they can design for you 🙂
Beautiful pictures of a beautiful young lady.
