Wife, dog mom, cancer fighter and abuse survivor - I've seen a lot in my short years and now I'm on a journey to help everyday women feel like beautiful works of art and masterpieces in their bodies and within their life because guess what?? That's what you are!!
Creating a wedding timeline can be a little overwhelming, especially since the timeline can truly make or break your photos and the experience with your Jackson, MS wedding photographer! The good news is it’s a lot easier than you think!
The key is to give your wedding photographer extra time and communicate! BUT, for brides who book with me – A Jackson, MS wedding photographer – you’ll receive a customized timeline for your wedding coverage! Even though I’m based out of Jackson MS, this wedding timeline will work for most any wedding!
For most weddings I suggest 2 – 2.5 hours to capture the details and getting ready shots. It takes about one hour to do first looks and portraits. About 45 minutes for the bridal party and about another 45 minutes for family portraits. I always advise to give a little extra time for even more portrait time! Over the next few posts, I’ll outline an example timeline – but remember every wedding is different and we will customize everything to your day!
During this time, I’ll be shooting all details (shoes, flowers, invites, jewelry, dress, etc.) along with the fun candid shots of everyone getting ready (my FAVORITE!). I’ll even photograph the groom’s details and getting ready shots if he’s at the same location or close by! These fun getting ready shots always turn out to be some the couple’s favorites photos with their closest friends.
Now it’s time we get you into the dress! I always encourage anybody helping her into the dress to already be ready before we start shooting, so everyone looks their best in the photos! This time is used to capture all the little details along with mom and bridesmaids helping.
Check back soon for the next step in your wedding day timeline! I can’t wait to work with all of you lovely brides-to-be!!
