Wedding Tips for Grooms | Mississippi Weddings
Often, guys aren’t really into wedding planning and aren’t jumping with excitement about being in front of the camera for Mississippi weddings, let alone for Wedding photography in general. I promise there are ways to make it enjoyable – even for the most uninterested groups of guys. Look below for 4 tips for guys on the wedding day!
It will be quick
The goal on wedding day is to work at lightning speed – especially taking portraits of the guys! I’ll take basic photos and get specific requested shots immediately, so if you want or need something particular to be done, you’re good because I’ll get them quick! For Mississippi Weddings, I understand the importance of getting you out of the Mississippi heat as quickly as humanly possible! Those suits can be miserable, I know!
You’re just hanging out
Very rarely (if ever) will guys be by themselves – they’ll either be with family, groomsmen or their soon to be bride. Forget about the camera and the girl behind it. Just hang out and have fun with them!
Do it for your bride
No, you might not care about good photos – but your bride and family would love to have great professional photos of you and it will make them so happy to take photos with you!
You’ll probably have fun
I always make it fun and super laid back. I love joking around with you too. I’ll incorporate your style and personality into photos so they feel like your photos – because this is all about you!

Good that you acknowledge guys don’t always want photos! Though my boyfriend will be the spotlight of our photos he loves his photos taken lol

Great tips! I find the guys always come around when they see how happy they’ve made their bride. And the Mississippi heat—I can only imagine how tough it is standing in a tux under that hot sun!
