Once someone discovers exactly what is a “boudoir photo shoot,” one of the next questions is always – inevitably – “Do I have to get naked?”
Boudoir is always about empowerment, and that’s something that I cannot stress enough! Whether you’re a soon to be bride wanting to gift your soon to be husband beautiful photos, a mom who is getting used to her new body, a survivor of any type, or just trying to get some beautiful photos on a journey to feel sexy and confident, I GOT YOU, GIRL!
The answer, is always NO! You will never have to do anything you don’t want to do. Boudoir is an intimate, beautiful experience that can be transformative – and the last thing I would want to do is have someone do something they were completely against or uncomfortable with!
You’ve probably seen boudoir shots before and the impression that many people have is that to be sexy in boudoir, you have to be naked or almost entirely so. But, GIRL, let me tell you! Most boudoir can achieve those iconic looks while wearing outfits that cover MORE than what you’d wear to the beach! So, have no fear! There’s no reason to struggle with what you’re supposed to wear to a boudoir photo shoot (or lack of what to wear!) Your body is your own! And I promise to make sure that your boundaries are respected, no matter what they are!
