Frequently Asked Questions

Questions about a boudoir session experience:

ARE THERE ANY REFRESHMENTS?
DO YOU HAVE LINGERIE I CAN BORROW?
WHEN DO I SEE MY PHOTOS FROM THE SESSION?

No matter which collection you purchase, you’ll receive: a consultation with me, access to pre-session payment plan bonus items, digital Boudoir Style & Planning Guide and professional Hair & Makeup.

Your collection price also includes refreshments (Mimosa’s, anyone?), a 90 minute boudoir session, access to my client lingerie closet (which you don’t have to use - you can totally bring your own lingerie if you want - but I have items available in your size for you ready to go!), signature editing of your images, a SAME DAY reveal & ordering session (yup, you get to see your photos that day!), professional design of my luxury product offers and (of course) Digital image!

There’s a $500 retainer in order to lock in your session date, but that amount goes toward the total amount of your collection choice. While most boudoir photographers make you pay a session fee and then require you to spend additional money just to get access to any of your photos but I wanted you to have it all in one easy price so the price you see is what you can expect to pay - no hidden fees!

Questions about the client closet:

What's the client closet?
Do you have my size in the closet?
Should I purchase lingerie
What if I don't want to wear lingerie?

The client closet is a closet filled with different sizes and styles of lingerie and other things you can wear and use for your session. I make sure to purchase new pieces in your size and favorite style/color preferences when you book with me, so I will ALWAYS have something that will work for you! But most clients still love to do some shopping and purchase new items to bring too! In most cases, clients choose to mix and match from my stuff and theirs but you can do whatever you want!

Everything is meticulously cleaned and sanitized every time it’s used, and clients are required to wear thongs underneath anything they borrow so no actual body parts are touching, as well as swimsuit/panty protectors being utilized for an extra layer of protection. When you borrow from the closet, you’re even more protected than if you were to try on things at a store . . . they don’t sanitize like I do.

If lingerie is not your style, you don’t have to worry! Boudoir is about feeling confident in your own skin, and if lingerie doesn’t make you feel that way, then you can bring literally ANYTHING! Jeans and a bra, bra and panties, a dress shirt, cozy sweater - all of this can be awesome to use for boudoir photos!

Questions about Products & Digitals:

WHAT PRODUCTS DO YOU OFFER?
WHEN WILL MY PRODUCTS BE READY?
HOW DO I RECEIVE MY PRODUCTS?

Every single one of my collections come with digitals because we live in a digital age. But ultimately I believe in printing your images because they’re a beautiful work of art, and your photos deserve to be displayed like the piece of art you are!

Your photos are never going to be posted on my social media or website unless you give me explicit permission for which photos (if any) you want to share. (If you’re okay with me sharing your photos, ask me about my “boudie call” offers, which allow you to get the AMP boudoir experience at a huge discounted rate as a thank you for allowing me to post your photos so I can share what my work is like to book potential clients.!)

I offer a wide range of products, from luxury albums with fully customized covers, to a wide array of Metal Wall Art pieces, to polaroids to 12-month calendars and more!. The time it takes for these to arrive depends on what you order, but you can pick them up directly from the studio (good for keeping them a surprise) OR I can ship them to you (free of charge) if you’d prefer that. Typically all of your items arrive within 2-4 weeks or sooner.

Questions about what to expect & concerns:

Who will be at my session?
I’m nervous and I’ve never done this before - can you help me?
How do I need to prepare?
Will you help me pose?

All sessions are an all-day, luxury, females only experience. It’s just you, me, my female assistant and a female hair and makeup artist.

It’s totally normal to be nervous for your session. As a matter of fact I’ve never had a woman NOT be at least a little nervous for her session! This isn’t a normal, everyday occurrence! But I will literally walk you through everything. I’ll even send you a style and prep guide prior to your session which should answer all your questions to help you make the most of your investment. Beside that, I give my cell number to you so you can reach out at any point and I can help you with anything.

And during the session, I explain everything to you, so I walk you through step by step - hand placement, angles, expression, so you literally don’t have to know anything about boudoir, posing or anything else. I do this part for you! You just show up and be yourself!

Questions about Editing, Style & Photoshop:

What will my photos look like?
How many photos do I get?

Most boudoir photographers shoot in a “dark and moody” style. And while it’s beautiful, I prefer to keep a light, feminine, classic, all natural look so your photos stand the test of time and aren’t locked in a fad that may or may not be here in 10 or 20 years. The number of photos you receive depends on which collection you select but every single collection has both digitals and products included in the price so you get the best of both worlds!

I don’t do a lot of editing or retouching because I believe that boudoir is an experience that allows you to see yourself as beautiful and gain confidence in the body that you’re currently in, and I can’t do that through photoshop. Instead, I pose you in a way that flatters your body and I help you style your session so that you will feel that you’re at your best and confident. You’ll finally be able to see what everyone else sees - you’re a beautiful work of art inside and out!

If there are significant bruises or cuts that are still healing that will be gone soon after the session, then I’ll do minor spot removal/blending for those. I call this the “2 week rule”. If something is on your body that probably won’t be there in 2 weeks (like a bruise), I don't mind making it less noticeable. But wrinkles, stretch marks, birthmarks - anything that’s a part of you - I don’t edit out because they’re a part of your story and who you are and when seen in the correct view, they’re important pieces to the unique work of art that you are!

Questions about booking

I offer a wide range of collection options depending on how many photos/which products you want. The average client spends $2800 for the entire boudoir experience  that includes consultations/help leading up to the session, professional hair and makeup, refreshments, access to the client closet, the session, signature editing and reveal of photos the same day, digital images, products and more - all for one inclusive price! For more detailed information about pricing and what comes in each collection, visit the BOUDOIR page!

When you’re ready for more information/are interested in booking, reach out via my website contact form (at the bottom of this page) so I can get your information. From there we set up a super easy, super fast 10 minute phone call whenever you’re next available.

WAIT!! I know, I know. You might have cringed reading that you’d have to talk on the phone for this. It’s tempting to want a “quick” email or message with all the information, but I’ve actually found it’s SO much easier and FASTER to just hop on a quick 10 minute call to go over everything! I PROMISE that this is the BEST way for me to be able to serve you and give you the luxury experience that you deserve because it allows me to go over everything about what you can expect when working with AMP and to answer/address all your questions/concerns quickly, easily and clearly right then and there.

As soon as we get off the phone, I’ll send everything to you via writing for your reference as you’re making final decisions. To lock in your date, there is a $500 non-refundable retainer fee that is applied toward your collection cost.

QUESTIONS ABOUT PAYMENT, SCHEDULING & RESCHEDULING

RESCHEDULE MY SESSION?
WHAT IF I GET SICK?

To lock in your date, there is a $500 non-refundable retainer fee that is applied toward your collection cost. All collections are processed online via my client management system's secure card processing system or Square.. I accept cash, check or card. When paying by check, the balance must clear in my account before it's considered received and processed. Due to legal restrictions, I cannot take payments via PayPal, Venmo or any other consumer money transfer app.

You can set up a pre-session payment plan with me (which most clients do) so you can pay your collection off leading up to your session date. And when you sign up for a pre-session payment plan, you even get a lot of bonus items and perks added to your collection for free!

You should book early and quickly, because I only take a limited session per month, so my calendar fills up very quickly. If you need the photos for a certain date like a wedding - then your session needs to be finished six to eight weeks before the event, just in case you get sick or for products to be reordered or delayed.

If you’re feeling sick or have been exposed to COVID in anyway, I ask that you reschedule.  I have a compromised immune system while I’m battling stage 4 kidney cancer, so I can very easily catch even just a common cold. And besides, who would want to take picures when they're sick?

Since you are the person in the photos, you are not required to wear a mask during your session. However, it is likely that you'll see myself as well as my assistant and hair and makeup artist wearing masks even beyond Covid guidelines/mandates due to my battle with cancer.

QUESTIONS ABOUT the studio, Reasons for booking & Misc.

I WANTED TO DOCUMENT A CERTAIN. JOURNEY (CANCER, ABUSE SURVIVOR, ETC.) DO YOU DO SESSIONS LIKE THIS?

My in-home studio is located in Vicksburg, MS and is where I do 99% of my sessions. I only take limited sessions per month/year to allow myself ample time to rest and recover between each session so that I can give all my clients the best experience. Most sessions take place Monday - Friday. Most clients take off in order to be able to complete their session. Saturday sessions are rarely open and are subject to an additional weekend fee. I never work on Sunday’s. You should expect to spend all day with me and my team the day of your session.

One of my favorite things about boudoir is that you do not need a reason to book. I believe that every woman should experience it at least once in their life as it’s truly a transformational experience! Whether you do it for yourself or for your husband or future husband, those reasons will have the most impact in your life and will have the most meaning!
I didn’t have the perfect life growing up. I suffered all kinds of abuse and trauma, and unfortunately I’m not alone. One in three women will experience some type of abuse in their lives. So, I want to provide a safe space for women to feel and work through negative emotions and trauma while also looking forward to a brighter future where they can have new-found confidence that isn’t dictated by their circumstances!

So many women I know look at their bodies, and are unable to claim the phrase “I am beautiful, I am fearfully and wonderfully made” over themselves, honestly. Trauma changes a person, and I want to be a part of your journey in reclaiming who you are and owning your own beauty.

Can I book a session as a wedding gift? Do I have to be in a relationship to book?
I don’t have a reason to book . . .?

QUESTIONS ABOUT PRODUCTS & DIGITALS:

Can I book a session as a wedding gift? Do I have to be in a relationship to book?
I don’t have a reason to book . . .?

Answers ABOUT BOOKING

However, it is likely that you'll see myself as well as my assistant and hair and makeup artist wearing masks even beyond Covid guidelines/mandates due to my battle with cancer.

how do i pay?
Do you offer payment plans?
How far in advance should I book?

When do you shoot sessions?
